I made this photo during the Spring of 2011. We spent the entire Spring/Summer in the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon area. This particular fall is part of a series of beautiful, but seasonal falls along The Turkey Trail, of Leonard Harris State Park.

If you ever plan on going there, I strongly advise to get there in the early to mid Spring, when it's running well. It's purely a run-off stream, but when it's going full force, it's magical.

Thanks very much. Apparantly, it's not very sharp though. Got turned down a few times. I messed up by using a windows program to resize it. I have to re-edit it and post it again. It looks much better in PS and LR than it does here. Duh, still learning. :)

Anytime! There are definitely some finicky groups on here, I've been turned down quite a bit myself. It's all good, were always still learning in this field. :)

Beautiful set of cascades, Kenny! Great exposure too. :)

The photo seems to have a greenish cast to it, making the water look green in some places, though. Might want to finagle color balance in PS a bit. Just a suggestion!

Hey LeeAnne. What am I doing wrong with my sharpening? I got a comment from one of the groups that this was "very very not sharp". And Canon Users declined it altogether.

I'm going to send you a note with a little trick I learned. ;)

Thanks. Can't wait to get to work on trying that. Computer is sadly in the shop right now. The one i'm using has no programs. :( I'll let you know how it turned out as soon as I redo it. :)

I'll be eager to see the results. It's a trick that *blyndspy taught me, and I was skeptical at first. Honestly, stuff looks way better with that trick!

got my comp back and running. Working on it now. One of the mods of the group that rejected it wants me to repost it right here. I've never done that with a shot, but might as well. :) It already looks better. Got the greens out. As for the sharpening, it's better. I had it on my tripod, not in rushing water or anything, and my IS was off. I'm surprised at the lack of sharpness when I do blow it up. Also surprised at my lack of noticing it in the first place. DOH!!!
